| 1. What is Covered |
| GE Service Management, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the General Electric Company ("GE"), is the obligor of this service contract ("Contract"). The service performed under this Contract is provided through GE or a servicer approved by GE. This Contract is also insured by an insurance policy issued by American Zurich Insurance Company. A covered product will be restored to normal operating condition after it has failed during normal single family household use, excluding failures due to power surges. The plan covers: |
| Labor and Parts - All labor and parts costs necessary to repair your covered product for problems due to functional part failures such as motors, timers, switches, valves, bearings, electrical wiring, compressors, sealed systems, freon, safety switches, thermostats, clocks, elements, tuners, transistors, capacitors, resistors, picture tubes, IC chips, circuit boards, controls, coils, chokes, processors, transformers, built-in antennas, remote controls (remote control replacement of comparable functionality once per Contract). |

| The following coverage applies if listed on the face of this Contract. |
| Major Appliances: Such as Washer, Dryer, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Compactor, Oven, Range. Food Spoilage - You will be reimbursed for food losses resulting from the covered failure of your refrigerator or freezer up to $100 per appliance over the life of this Contract; proof of loss will be required. |
| Other Appliances: Such as GE Water Softener, GE Undercounter Water Filter, GE Reverse Osmosis Water Systems. |
| Major Electronics: Such as TV, VCR, Camcorder, Stereo, CD Player, Tape Player, DVD. Head cleaning - All costs associated with one annual head cleaning for VCRs are covered on a carry-in basis. |
| Digital Satellite Systems (DSS): Receiver Exchange, Antenna Dish, LNB. If receiver replacement is needed, you will be required to return the defective receiver to the address provided to you by GE. GE will cover all shipping and handling expenses. |
| Major Component: Such as Compressor, Washer Transmission, Magnetron, Picture Tube. If a specific component is identified on the face of this Contract, only the specified component is covered. Labor costs for the repair, replacement, and installation of that component are not covered. |

| Note - Your sales receipt and these terms and conditions, including the provisions, limitations, definitions and exclusions on the front and back sides of this Contract, constitute the entire Contract. |
| Subrogation - In the event GE repairs or replaces any covered product due to any defect for which the manufacturer ("MFR") or its agents or suppliers may be legally responsible, you agree to assign your rights of recovery to GE. You will be reimbursed for any reasonable costs and expenses you may incur in connection with the assignment of your rights. |

| 2. Coverage Period |
| Your coverage begins and ends on the dates identified on the face of this Contract. |

| 3. Location of Service |
- In-home Service - If "in-home" (on-site) service is specified, service will be provided at the address identified on the face of this Contract. Periodically, your product may need to be removed and repaired elsewhere but if required, pick-up and return expenses will be covered by this Contract.
- Carry-in Service - If "carry-in" service is specified, you are responsible for delivering your product to and from the authorized repair center.
- DSS Service - Some types of service will be provided in your home. For other types of service, you will be responsible to remove and send the product to the address provided to you by GE and to reinstall the product. GE will cover all shipping and handling expenses.

| 4. If You Need Service |
| Call the telephone number displayed on the face of this Contract to schedule service. Service will be available during regular working hours. |
| |
| 5. Moving Your Covered Product to a New Location in the USA |
| You can change your service address at any time by notifying GE in writing at the address below. |
| |
| 6. If the Owner of the Covered Product is Changing |
| You can assign the product coverage to another person by notifying GE in writing at the address below and enclosing a check for $10.00 to cover processing and administration costs. The coverage will become effective when GE receives your written notice and check. |

| 7. Service Contract Cancellation |
| You may cancel your Contract at any time for any reason. |
| a. Cancellation by You - You must notify GE in writing at the address below. Include your original Contract with the notification. You will receive a refund based on the following calculation: |
- If your Contract and cancellation notice are received within 30 days of the purchase date of this Contract, you will be refunded the full Contract price (unless your Contract has an effective date at any time within 30 days of the purchase date of this Contract in which case any claims paid will be deducted, unless otherwise precluded by law).
- If your Contract and cancellation notice are received after 30 days from the purchase date but before the effective date of this Contract, as indicated on the face of this Contract, you will be refunded the full Contract price, less an administrative fee of 10% of the pro-rata premium or $25, whichever is less, unless otherwise precluded by law.
- If your Contract and cancellation notice are received after 30 days from the purchase date and after the effective date of this Contract, you will be refunded a pro-rated amount of the Contract price, less any claims paid, less an administrative fee, unless otherwise precluded by law.

| b. Cancellation by GE - If GE cancels the Contract, for any contractual reason, after the first 30 days, return of premium will be based on 100% of the unearned pro-rata premium. |

| 8. Service Contract Limitations |
- Indirect Damages - IN NO EVENT WILL GE OR THE INSURER BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RELATING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY TO THIS SERVICE CONTRACT.
- Renewals - Neither GE nor the insurer is obligated to renew your Contract.
- Non-Repairable Products - If GE, in its sole discretion, determines that a covered product is not repairable, which includes when parts are no longer available, GE may either replace the product with a product of like kind, quality and functionality or provide you with an amount equal to the depreciated value of the product at the time GE determines the product to be non-repairable. Unless otherwise precluded by law, in either event, GE shall be excused from further performance of this Contract as to the affected product. The affected product will become the property of GE.
- Non-Original Manufacturer and Re-Manufactured Parts - Genuine factory parts will be used whenever possible; however the use of non-original manufacturer and re-manufactured parts is allowed under this Contract.
- Limitation of Liability - To the extent permitted by applicable law, the liability of GE or the insurer, if any, for any allegedly defective covered product or part shall be limited to repair or replacement of the product or part at GE’s option, and the liability of GE or the insurer, if any, for damages relating to any defective covered product or part shall not exceed your purchase price for the product or part in question. THIS CONTRACT IS YOUR SOLE EXPRESS WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THE COVERED PRODUCT(S). ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT(S) INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED.

| 9. Governing Law |
| Unless otherwise governed by applicable state law, your Contract shall be interpreted and enforced according to the laws of the commonwealth of Kentucky. |
| |
| 10. Consumer’s Promises and Assurances |
| In order to keep this Contract in force during its term, you promise and assure: |
- Full cooperation with GE, GE technicians and authorized servicers during diagnosis and repair of the covered product.
- Accessibility of the covered product.
- A non-threatening and safe environment for in-home service.
- The presence of an adult at the time of scheduled service.
- That the covered product is not used for business or commercial purposes.
- That you will provide written notice of any defect or deficiency in service within 90 days of discovery by you.

| 11. What is Not Covered |
| Your Contract does not cover: |
- Repair of product(s) upon noncompliance of any part of Section 10 by you.
- Coverage, components, products or items not specifically listed herein.
- Consumer replaceable items such as batteries, tapes, ribbons, bulbs, hoses, water membranes, air filters, water filters, fuses, belts, knobs.
- Any repair covered by a MFR’s original warranty or initiated by the MFR, or recall program whether the MFR is in business or not and all new products with less than an original 90 day MFR’s parts & labor warranty and costs associated with MFR’s recommended normal maintenance.
- Unauthorized repairs performed by third parties, inaccessible products, theft.
- Failures of components such as cabinets, frames, masks, finish defects, glass.
- Damage or failures caused by conditions beyond GE’s control such as inadequate plumbing, wiring, power supply, power surge, rust, corrosion, infestation, negligence, abuse, misuse, acts of God, failure to follow MFR’s recommended maintenance, improper installation, leaking batteries, video game and other display markings.
- Repair or replacement caused by defects that existed prior to the purchase of this Contract.
- Service outside the continental USA, Alaska, and Hawaii.
- Water filtration systems where water is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality when there has not been adequate disinfection before or after the system, such as single-user wells, or other non-public water systems not regulated by federal or state health and safety requirements.
- Any costs associated with repairs, replacements or maintenance resulting from the failure or inability of covered product(s) to correctly recognize, process, interpret, distinguish, or accept date data related to the century change or data field recognition of a century change prior to, during or after calendar year 2000 AD. This includes hardware, software and firmware, as well as all other electronic equipment or components.
- Products used for commercial purposes.

| 12. State Variations |
| YOU THE BUYER MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS AND REMEDIES UNDER YOUR STATE'S APPLICABLE LAWS WHICH ARE IN ADDITION TO ANY REMEDY WHICH MAY BE AVAILABLE UNDER THIS CONTRACT. |
